History and destiny of Ischia's wine are inextricably linked to the sea: from the vines clinging to the green tuff, of marine formation, to trade and transport.
Also made of green tuff are the "parracine" which, since centuries, delimit the strips of land where Ischia's vineyards wind like long bony arms.
Ischia's vineyards are witness of a continuous dialogue with the territory and traditions, a richness preserved by Casa D'Ambra.
since 1888
For 130 years, D'Ambra family has been united by a great passion for vines and wine: creativity, innovation and respect for tradition have been handed down for generations.
.
From the trade of bulk wine, started by Don Ciccio, today the second generation is the protagonist in the production of prestigious wines. The search for excellence has always characterized our reality, first in the hands of Salvatore D'Ambra, then of his son Andrea, who creates famous wines, such as Frassitelli. Wines that exalt the uniqueness of the territory of Ischia. Today, Andrea is supported by his daughters Marina and Sara, the fourth generation that carries on a story of deep roots and innovative spirit.
"Innovation seen as research in tradition, as a going back in time to the dawn of Ischia's winemaking history, to discover some practices of our ancestors that, properly revisited, can bring a highly innovative contribution in the wine scene."
